Workplace Regulations in Response to Covid Pandemic

September 23, 2020

Covid Pandemic

The safety and health of all employees, customers, partners, and guests is a top priority for FVP Trade. We are therefore in constant and close contact with the responsible health authorities. Recommendations and instructions from the authorities are implemented.

However, the current developments in the UK, Europe, and the Rest of the World show that the situation can change on a daily basis. In this respect, we will continue to monitor the situation closely.

For a more objective discussion of Covid-19, we refer to the websites of the World Health Organization (WHO), The Health and Safety Executive (HSE), and the UK Government.

Regardless of the current situation, FVP Trade already offers a high standard of hygiene, safety, and medical care.

Despite the decreasing risk, FVP Trade will increase cleaning measures for heavily frequented areas (entrances, door handles, escalators, etc.). For example, additional disinfectant dispensers will be set up in all workplaces and exhibition grounds. During events, medical personnel trained in infectious diseases will also be on hand on the exhibition grounds.

Here at FVP Trade, we have introduced a number of steps to reduce the risk of exposure to Covid-19. These include:

  • Reducing the number of colleagues working together on the same shift.
  • Putting measures in place to allow a 2 metre distance between colleagues, e.g. floor markings and taped off workstations.
  • Adding extra hygiene facilities such as hand sanitiser stations.
  • Keeping doors open where safe to do so.
  • Staggering start, break, and finish times.
  • Installing screens and barriers.
  • Increased and more thorough cleaning regime.
  • Providing PPE for job roles where workers have to be less than 2 metres apart (face-masks, gloves, etc.)
